Remove EXIF Metadata

Strip common photo metadata from JPEG and PNG files without re-encoding pixels.

How to use

  1. Select JPEG or PNG photos. Press Convert to create new files with common metadata chunks removed.
  2. Original photos remain unchanged. Always inspect the output before sharing; nonstandard hidden metadata may remain.

About these formats

For JPEG the tool removes APP1 (EXIF/XMP), APP13 (IPTC) and COM segments without re-encoding the image data. For PNG it removes eXIf, tEXt, zTXt, iTXt and tIME chunks.

Browser limitations

Other private data may remain in proprietary chunks or original image pixels. Removing EXIF orientation tags may change how some photos appear rotated. JPEG ICC color profiles are preserved.
