About these formats

AVIF uses modern image compression. JPG output may be larger and cannot restore detail already lost.

Browser limitations

Requires AVIF decoding in the browser (Chrome, Firefox or Safari versions may differ). Maximum 200 MiB input, 55 million pixels. Only first frame for animated sources.
